Tyreek McDole is a Haitian-American jazz vocalist whose baritone voice and fearless artistry have made him one of the most talked-about young musicians in jazz today. Born in Florida and now based in New York City, McDole holds a jazz performance degree from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and first announced himself to the world at Jazz at Lincoln Center's 2018 Essentially Ellington National Competition, where he won the Outstanding Vocalist Award.
In November 2023, he claimed 1st place at the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, joining an elite lineage that includes Samara Joy and Jazzmeia Horn, and becoming only the second male winner in the competition's history. His debut album, Open Up Your Senses, released June 6, 2025 on Artwork Records, has drawn praise from Jazzwise, DownBeat, and BBC broadcaster Gilles Peterson. McDole's sound evokes the romantic elegance of Johnny Hartman and Nat King Cole, reimagined for a new generation.
