The Henhouse Prowlers are a Chicago-based bluegrass quartet with a reach that extends far beyond American soil. Formed over two decades ago, the band consists of Ben Wright (banjo, vocals), Chris Dollar (guitar, vocals), Jon Goldfine (bass, vocals), and Jake Howard (mandolin, vocals), four accomplished musicians who have built a reputation on tight four-part harmonies, sharp instrumental craft, and songs that feel both deeply rooted and genuinely adventurous.
Their latest album, *Unravel*, produced by Stephen Mougin of Dark Shadow Recording and the Sam Bush Band, moves fluidly between bluegrass, modern Americana, and classic country. The songs take on life on the road, grief, resilience, war, and joy.
Off the stage, the Prowlers serve as U.S. State Department cultural ambassadors, performing in 34 countries across five continents through their nonprofit Bluegrass Ambassadors, using music as a bridge between cultures and communities worldwide.
