Dan Tyminski is one of the most celebrated and recognizable voices in American roots music. Born and raised in Vermont and deeply rooted in Appalachian tradition, he rose to international prominence as lead vocalist and guitarist with Alison Krauss and Union Station, a band that has earned more Grammy Awards than virtually any other act in country and bluegrass history.
Tyminski's voice reached a global audience when he provided the vocals for George Clooney's character in the 2000 Coen Brothers film "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" - a performance that helped the soundtrack sell over eight million copies and win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. He has also collaborated with EDM artist Avicii, whose track featuring Tyminski reached number one on the Billboard Dance charts.
As a solo artist and bandleader, Tyminski continues to captivate audiences with his expressive tenor voice, masterful guitar work, and deeply felt interpretations of bluegrass and American roots music.
