Join Barter Theatre for a heartwarming holiday adventure with I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas. Set at the Cincinnati Zoo, this festive musical follows seven-year-old Lois Jean, whose Christmas wish is for the zoo’s hippo, Big Suzy, to give birth in time for the holidays. When baby Bella arrives prematurely, it takes a miracle—and a little help from Santa—to save the day. Filled with catchy songs, lovable characters, and the magic of the season, this one-act show is perfect for audiences of all ages. Performances will be held at 2:00PM and 7:00PM on December 13th.

Brass 5 is excited to share with you some of their old Christmas favorites, as well as some new gems they discovered this year.  They are performing in the Fralin Atrium before both the 2PM and 7PM performances.  In addition to regular and Christmas concert series, Brass 5 also offers educational programs for students of all ages. They are supported by both the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts
