This Memorable Moment in Shaftman Performance Hall is Del McCoury with Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Over a decade ago, the legendary bluegrass musician Del McCoury teamed up with New Orleans based Preservation Hall Jazz Band to record an incredible album. Then they hit the road and toured with an incredible ensemble. Prior to the performance, Tad Dickens of The Roanoke Times chatted with Preservation Hall tuba player Ben Jaffe for an interview on how their music worked together. And on Thursday, October 28th of 2010, they delivered an incredible show for a packed house on the Shaftman Performance Hall stage.
