In 2011, famed singer/songwriter Darrell Scott and Jefferson Center’s Artistic Director Dylan Locke recognized there was an incredible lineup of talent performing at Jefferson Center during the 2011/2012 season. Together, Scott and Locke asked artists from Kathy Mattea to the Blind Boys of Alabama, if they would take a few minutes out of their schedule to record a track of the single. The result, along with Music Lab students and voices from around the community, is “There’s A World of Song.”

The song literally brought a full season of performers from Shaftman Performance Hall together.
