Since their arrival on the scene in 2015, New York based Progressive Folk/Americana band Nefesh Mountain has been hailed as one of the formative boundary-pushing groups in roots music. The bands creators and husband and wife team Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff have created a world and sound all their own; blurring the lines between Bluegrass, Folk, Americana, Jazz and Blues with a masterful hand as songwriters, instrumentalists and composers alike. Their latest full length album “Songs For the Sparrows” is a true testament to the imagination and extraordinary grace of their musicianship; called “A master class in string music” by Rolling Stone, and “arguably some of the best bluegrass ever made” by American Songwriter. The duo wrote 13 of the albums 14 tracks, taking the listener on a deeply personal journey that embodies their own wild nature and unbridled free spirits, all while acutely addressing anti-semitism, inequality, racism, and injustices from days past to America today.
