The Jefferson Center is a nonprofit organization that enriches and educates diverse Western Virginia communities by producing high quality performing and visual arts programs.

Jefferson Center strives to:

• EXCEL in the production and presentation of compelling programs by exceptional artists from Virginia, the United States, and throughout the World.

• COLLABORATE effectively with other cultural organizations, ethnic communities, educational institutions, social service providers, faith-based institutions, civic government, and the media.

• MAXIMIZE use of our historic facility, the former Jefferson High School, as a touchstone for alumni, home for a family of nonprofit tenants, and exceptional performance facility for the community.

• SUPPORT a creative and professional staff through fiscal responsibility, effective governance, and active engagement with the local business community.
