Take an armchair journey to distant lands and delve into international culture as the Roanoke Youth Symphony presents Silk Road to Roanoke.  Performed by our region’s young musicians, this concert was composed by Simon Shaheen, the leading contemporary composer of Middle Eastern art music. 

Join us at 1:30 p.m. before the concert to discover new instruments like the oud and the Tablah and sample Middle Eastern culture, folktales, food, art and language.
