Jefferson Center, the Roanoke Valley’s premiere venue for performance, culture and the arts, inaugurates new educational programming linking Roanoke’s classrooms with some of the finest arts and culture specialists around.

Through innovative programs developed in collaboration with local artists and educators, Jefferson Center seeks to expand cultural and artistic resources available to schools and to enliven education in the Roanoke Valley through the arts.

Jefferson Center education programs aim to:

• Facilitate cultural programming to meet the needs of Roanoke-area schools and school districts.
• Offer arts and culture programs to address specific SOL objectives.
• Expand access to multicultural programming for a broader segment of Southwest Virgina's population.
• Offer diverse cultural experiences to help students become responsible citizens of their schools, communities, nation, and the global society.
