The Jefferson Center is a nonprofit organization that enriches and educates diverse Western Virginia communities by producing high quality performing and visual arts programs.
Jefferson Center strives to:
EXCEL in the production and presentation of compelling programs by exceptional artists from Virginia, the United States, and throughout the World.
COLLABORATE effectively with other cultural organizations, ethnic communities, educational institutions, social service providers, faith-based institutions, civic government, and the media.
MAXIMIZE use of our historic facility, the former Jefferson High School, as a touchstone for alumni, home for a family of nonprofit tenants, and exceptional performance facility for the community.
SUPPORT a creative and professional staff through fiscal responsibility, effective governance, and active engagement with the local business community.
